I have a 92 Diesel regular cab, and white. I was wondering if there was a good looking wheel out there for this truck. I thought of looking for some 2nd gen. wheels but not real sure what they would look like. I would like to keep about the same size without spending alot of money. I am getting tired of the old solid hubcaps staring at me..... Let me know what you think.

American racing does have some nice looking rims, and you can get different sizes too. You would probably want 8 inch rims if you want them the same size. I have 10 inch american racing bajas on my truck. You can check them out on page 7 of readers rigs. It is the green/tan '93. The tires are 285/75R/16's. This size rim and tire give it a pretty stout look.

Unfortunately the wheels were on before I bought the truck, but they are modular aluminum. They have the steel insert for the cone type lug nuts and are rated for 2850 Lbs each. I wish I knew the name brand , if they weren't on then I'd have them by now. The hub caps in 89 were aweful!!!

My truck is just 2 wheel drive too. I think the bajas will look good but I need some tires to look at too... Does anyone know what the new style wheels would look like on the truck. There is someone close to me that sells take-offs for rock bottom prices and was wondering if... ... . ?

Caution:
I tried some wheels off of a '97 and found out the lugs on my '92 were too short. Would have had to re-stud all four hubs. Didn't think it worth the trouble for the gain.

Hope this helps your search.

Thanks for all the info. I will check on the stud length and decide from there.
