My 99 3500 4x4 has confused me. Owed it for a year and have now had occasion to have some wheels off. The fronts are hub centric, no taper or extrusions on wheels. The right rears, just by removing 2 nuts, didn’t have the wheels off, alternate on the front side between square shoulder and inverted taper, I assume the back side of that same wheel would be just the opposite. The wheels on the left rear are lug centric wheels. The truck has washered nuts all the way around. Truck is at the body shop at the moment after being hit by a Ford a week ago Dodge won, by the way, and will have to go to the tire shop anyway when cab is fixed. What’s this thing really supposed to have on it?

Mine is 2wd but the wheels are probably the same. Mine are all hub centric and the washered nuts are standard. The lug centric are some previous year model wheels. bg

not stock wheels

My stock wheels are flat and hub piloted and have the flanged nuts all around. The wheels/rims that have a inverted bevel for the lug nut to sit in I believe are called "coined" and they are after market. When I was looking for rims with a wider offset to run bigger tires the only ones I could find where "coined" and I didn't want to deal with the difference.
