The articles I have found have 2019 specs. One even talked about the RAM WILL be getting the new Alisson. Yes, thats how they spelled it, yes they spelled it that way twice in one article. So called "car and truck experts" and editors are as clueless as the regular media these days. 95% are worthless.

Is that similar to the RAM 48RE being a Mercedes transmission? I have a friend that swore that was the case for his later 2003.

Why would anyone want a 19 or newer Ram. I’m reading really not positive things about the updated Cp4-2 pump. Trucks with under 45k miles are having the pump fail. FCA trying to use the bad fuel excuse to get out from under them. This is way worse than the Vp44 nightmare. Not worth the potential headache in my opinion. Find a 18 or older truck until this Cp4 blows over.

I don't know why Ram even bothered with this CP4 nightmare.. it was so vividly seen through GM and Ford. The more I think about it, I'm thinking emissions..

Friends,

To be clear here... does Cummins install the CP4 on the engine or is it Ram? Does Cummins only install the CP4 on 6.7L motors built fo Ram or does Cummins install CP4s on all its 6.7L motor platform?

Just like to hear the answer my own self. One more thing, I dont get this CP4 thing coming up in many 4.5Gen threads. Having been here on the TDRa long time, seems each Generation of motor has had its haters and detractors. History does seem to repeat itself. I'm seeing lots and lots of 19s and 20s down here in TX and have yet to see one broke down on the road. Be interesting to see how it plays out, but if my 2017 Ram 5500 got totaled today. I'd be seeing if I could find a deal on a 19.

Cheers, Ron
