With my automatic, I jammed a 5/8 inch box end wrench into the ring gear bolted to the torque converter (with the help of a big screwdriver to turn the engine).

I got a c clamp like you use for wielding and clamped it on the inside of the balancer to the out side then let it hit the frame of the truck. The same place as you go to tighten the bolts you may have to move it to tighten the forth bolt, it worked fine for me.

Hey Joseph

Is this the tool that gets inserted on the back side of the motor on passenger side??

Where can I get one of these tools?

Thanks

In Joe G's Instructions.....

He states that some stick a screwdriver between the engine RPM pickup bracket and a notch in the balancer, I did this and had no problems... . FYI
