Is there an out-flow vent I can check on my truck? When I close all the windows, with the Vent (as opposed to recirc) and the fan on, make a real pressure spike. My ears pop like the cab is pressurizing. If the setting is on Recirc -- no problem.

There must be a blocked out flow vent or something. Can anyone help out with this?

This also happens to me, but it's happened to me in virtually every vehicle I've ever been in.

I'm not sure there's a vent, but there might be one at the back of the cab behind the carpet.

there is a cabin air vent on the back wall of the truck cab. You can see it from the outside looking between the cab and bed . who knows if that could be the problem, appearrantly it must be behind the back seat upright portion. I don't know if it needs maintaining , if it turns out to be something that is ,please let us all know.

Set your air controls to fresh air and not recycle air. On recycle the cabin is pressurized. On fresh air, it is open to outside air.

I'll look for a vent behind the back seat.

I've had a couple hands full of different vehicles over the years -- and none of them did this pressurization thing when closing the windows (when on VENT/FRESH air). Maybe a slight bump, but I'm talking about a significant Pop. Most, maybe not all, will add some fresh air even when on recirc.

Thanks for your replies. skipro, I understand the functions of the vent/recirc settings, thanks. Most cars & trucks do not pressurize on recirc.

The vents on the back of the cab have a baffle in them to keep out air, dirt and no see-ums. The positive pressure in the cab opens them, creating cross flow ventilation. The valves are not calibrated to any extent, there is bound to be a varying difference on how much pressure it takes to open them. In general, it is a rubber flap, they become stiffer when it is cold out, requiring more pressure to open.
