When larger fuel line necessary?

I have made a few changes to the old '96 Big Red and feel I may be starving for fuel. Some of you power nuts tell me when you start to see problems getting enough fuel to your Cummins?
What is the best way to solve this problem? I think I am turning around 315 hp or so and have the problem only when pulling a 10K or greater load.

Only 315 hp? That poor l'il Ram is sure enough starved for fuel. Give it another 100 hp for good behavior #ad

Don't worry about the lines. They are fine. However, check fuel pressure and shim or replace the overflow valve if pressure is under 17-22 at idle, 25-30 lb at 2000.

When would the 1/2" lines really show the benefit?

I'm looking at 300 or 370 injectors and thought I throw on the 1/2 line for good measure.

Thanks Joe, hit the nail on the head again. Checked fuel pressure, showed 13psig, shimmed and getting 21psig now at idle. Hooked up trailer and truck now steadily pulls 'til my nerves run out at @90mph.

Ryan, I don't know when you will need bigger feed lines but it is somewhere over 500 hp. #ad
