We used to ride through Northeast Carry, ME, and there was an off the grid fuel and food stop. Same deal, depended on hunters/fishermen/snowmobilers. Food was not of the caliber of what you posted, though. Nice retired couple ran it. Had a big chart on the wall keeping a daily tally of moose and deer that wandered through. Also had a spotting scope pointed at the gas pump, and when I asked them why they said groups of mass***es would come through on sleds, and skip out on the gas bill. I could not believe it.
