Quick easy question for you guys...

When was the change made to the 2nd gen body?

I'm thinking it was '92 model was the 2nd gen body for the 1/2 ton & '93 was the 2nd gen body for the 3/4 & 1 tons.

But that's just a guess on my part. Maybe D/C didn't even offset the 1/2 ton truck body introduction from the heavier truck. I don't know.

Can anyone help me out here? Thanks.

We all know the 250's and 350's were available as 1st gens in 1993. The 1/2 ton D150's were also available in 1993 cause I drove one for work. Had the Magnum 360 and drank gas like Top Fuel Dragster.

In 1994 they all came out as the 2nd gens I believe. My engineering college was the first place I remember seeing a 2nd gen Cummins. Some Alumni that worked at Chrysler were very proud of the new 2nd gen trucks and donated a 2500 to the school so the Solar Phantom Racing team could pull the race car trailer in style to national events. Great Dane Trailers donated a custom built 5th wheel tandem axle enclosed trailer also.

You couldn't get a club cab until 95 in any model I think. Dad bought a 95 1500 in late 94 and I think I remember that being the first brochure with the Club Cab.

Now a days, the Ford Alumni must be more proud cause they use a Powerstroke F-350. :(

OK, 94 was the 1st year. Just to confirm I understand correctly. The 1500, 2500, & 3500 were all available with the body at the same time. Duuuuuh, me so stupid. :D
