2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission When was your truck born?

My truck was born on February 22, 2000 at 9pm in the nursery ward of Daimler/Chrysler General in Saltillo, Mexico



How do I know?



Run outside and look at the sticker on the doorjamb on the driver's side. In the lower left corner it will say MDH followed by a 6-digit number like 071215. Break it down like this

07-12-15



07 = July

12 = day of month

15 = 1500 hours military time (3pm)



All you have to figure out is what year your truck was made.

If you're not sure, it tells you that on the sticker as well



So now that you know how to read your sticker, post the exact time your baby was born!

Oct. 10th, 2000 at 1:00 P. M. in the Mexico plant.

The last four of my VIN are 2399. These are the sequence numbers. It'd be kind of cool to see if the next upper or lower in sequence are on here too. Of course that's assuming all the trucks in that build sequence were diesels.

102410 or October 24 at 10AM. Build year says 10-00 or October 2000. Vin shows mine was built in Saltillo, Mexico.



Last 5 of vin are 38917.



No undercoating under the cab...

And only small random numbers on the block, no 53!

Mine was born 6/12/2002 at 9:00 in the morning. It was built in Lago's Mexico plant. Shipped out of Mexico City. They shut down the Lago's Plant in Sept/Oct of 2002. That is the plant that undercoated all of the trucks they built.

ProZack you can tell from the serial number. Go to Fritzs web site and they have a chart that will decifer your code and tell you where it was built. But if yours is a Regular cab I bet it was built in Lago, which is outside of Mexico city. I bet if you look under your truck that the cab area is undercoated. They only did that in Lago. The Lago plant was closed the end of Sept. or beginning of Oct. 2002.

Question,

I pulled out my window sticker real quick to verify all of this stuff, and I have a problem on mine. For the engine code, on the HO it is supposed to be a 7, well mine VIN has a "C" which for the pre 24v era, is the CTD. What's up with that? Oh, mine was built in Lago, so I will have to check on the undercoating part when I see my truck again.

Pit Bull you are right it was made in Lago, and has undercoating and a Mexican motorOo.
