Next you'll see BOGO signs all over the aisles.
I had a test for new hires years ago, count the pile of loose clutch release bearings that I had in a small box. These were bearing only common on Nissan etc.
Shelia was up next, she counted correct, stacked them in stacks of 5 per stack and said Mr. Gary this one is different from the others. I planted a bogey and she found it.
She was one of if not the best i ever had the honor to hire.
Paper or plastic?
I remember the .19 a gallon price wars, we use to dig our pockets for quarters. The grocery store that my mom used had baggers with special upright two wheeled parking lot carts. They bagged your goods and wheeled the load out to your car and then placed them in the trunk or where ever.

Nah kid, just three bucks wash the glass all around.
That 3 bucks got you almost 8 gallons back then 1973.
I remember when the gas stations had to put a $1 tape to the left of the pump when fuel went over $.99/gallon.

Yes, I remember pumping gas at my uncle's station when gas went over $0.99, and the mechanical pumps could not calculate, so they were set to half price, and you had to double it at the end. It was like the end of the world had officially arrived.I remember when the gas stations had to put a $1 tape to the left of the pump when fuel went over $.99/gallon.
Memories.
BTW, great to hear new employee is working out. Nothing like great organizing/ arranging skills to spruce up a place.
