After convincing the comapny that a Dodge/Cummins was a good buy, we've now had a failure of the alternator and one battery. This was on Monday about 1pm while going to a Gasoline spill in Ellijay Georgia. A call to several dealers in the north GA area brought no results (or parts)

We got the truck and trailer home, and took it into a large dealer in Chattanooga for repairs, and today (Thursday) it still sits--- waiting and alternator! The Atlanta warehouse didn't have one and the dealer ordered one from Detroit - we may have it tomorrow - maybe- What the devil is going on with Chrysler and their parts system? If we buy a Dodge, do we have to buy a spare so we can keep one running?

By the way, this truck only has 1197 miles on it!

We are getting ready to purchase two more one tons, and I know the boss won't even consider Dodge after this.

Oh' we did call customer care oir whatever its called, but couldn't find anybody that was interested in any thing but 4 o'clock and pay day. And they damn sure let usk know we were a annoyance in their otherwise quiet day.

OK I feel better, but I'm still pi--ed!

have him take it to the selling dealer and demand they pull one off a new one on the lot... . remind them he is buying 2 more [maybe depending on service now]

The story wouldn't be any diff with ferd or chevy, It's just too costly tax wise to maintain an inventory anymore. If ever there were a tax that s/b killed it's this one.
