Where can I buy Delo 400 at a good price and in stock?

FL-70 and the 8.3 Cummins......

Here's the options I've looked at:

1) Walmart, $6. 67 / gallon, not in stock after driving 10 miles out of my way to check.

2) Local truck stop, $10. 99 / gallon, or $60. 00 for a case of 6 gallons. That's more than 1/2 the price of Amsoil 100% synthetic.

3) Costco, I'm not sure of the price, but it's a bit less than Walmart, and they have it in stock from what I've heard, but it's not worth $50 / year to save a few bucks on oil, and I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff we don't need to justify the membership.

Any other ideas? I'm going to have the dealer use their oil and filter on the oil change tomorrow because I don't have time to mess with this any more now, but am willing to consider other options, including mail order, in the future.

I would check auto parts stores like Autozone, CarQuest, NAPA or Checker. The price should be just a little more than Walmarts, but not much.

Costco here sells a 6 gallon case for $34. 39. That's $5. 74 per gallon so it's worth it if you can get there. I can't even beat that with most of the other stores sale prices.

I could have sworn I paid 30 and change but I can't imagine there would be that big of a difference from Seattle to Oregon. I must be mistaken.

I have been getting it at Big R ranch supply for <$30 for a 5 gal bucket. Don't know if they exist in your part of the country. Mightcheck out tractor supply company or other ranch/farm supply type places.

Already mentioned but I get mine at Costco for the 35 bucks for 6 gallons :)

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention it is much superior to any other brand of oil, especially sinthetics ... . whoOOSSH  ... dog pile and flame war :-{} :-laf :-laf :-laf

I have it delivered by the drum from the local chevron fuel dealer for about 5. 00 a gallon, or if I need to I can go to the card lock and buy it right next to the diesel pump out of a fuel nozzle and pump it into whatever I bring. Jake

Its become very popular at most wally worlds, I tend to stock up, even if I don't need it right away, because half the time its out of stock.

Costco....

I was a long time holdout in joining Costco.....

No parking, no union, no help, no Skippy, etc. But, I've changed my mind. Delo is ~$34. 00 case of 6 gallons. Never out of stock where I go. I easily recover my annual dues, now. Article in Money magazine a few months ago said they don't mark any product up more than 14%, and they don't carry crap/junk.

There is a wally world and sams right next to one another here. I can get the delo if it is in stock at wally world but sams caries rosmella in gallons and drums. Odd they are essentilaly the same company. This is at the I-84 exit 13 in new york location. No costco nearby- if there was I would go. To bad-Costco does not have the used disposable birth control device reputation that Sams and wally worlds parent company has.

No union, wrong. You are thinking of Walmart and Sam's Club. Don't pay their employees squat..... in fact, they could care less about their employees. It is all about profit... ... no wonder they are so much cheaper.

Pick up the phone book and call the petroleum distributors in your area. Many will sell case lots for cash/check/credit card.

That's how I get Delvac 1 at a decent price.
