Where can I get a factory Service Manual (FSM) ?

The factory manuals are available back to the 89 Model trucks. The 1989 is in 2 parts; the "Rear-Wheel-Drive Truck D&W 150-350 Ramcharger" and the "Rear-Wheel-Drive Truck Diesel Supplement", don't let the Ramcharger in the title fool you it is just included in the manual. The 1993 manual has the rebuild procedures for the Getrag 360 Manual transmission (till 1993 model year Dodge only allowed remove & replace of transmission - no rebuilding in the field. ) Also there is a "Powertrain Diagnostic Procedures" manual, it is for those models with the Powertrain Control Module" (engine computer)



The service & owners manuals are obtained from TechAuthority, Chrysler's Document source, www.techauthority.com. The earlier documents aren't listed on the web site any more, so you'll need to call them.

As an info update---For pre 94 you will now have to contact www.autobooksbishko.com

and submit an inquirey to them. They respond very quickly.

I just found a Dodge repair manual at www.books4cars.com for ~$73. 00+s/h.

okay, don't buy from them, they just upped the price to $90 and don't even have it in stock! arg.

AHuggard submitted a post in the FAQ in regards to changes with the FSM. I called Bishko Automobile Books 1-800-544-3312 and spoke with a gentleman by the name of Rick. He related that the older FSMs have been licensed to them for printing & distribution. Also Rick stated there are some changes made to the manufacturing process of the manuals. The weight of the printing paper was increased to 20 pound (same as printer paper) and is a coated stock to resist grease and oil stains. The binding has also changed to a 3 hole punch with a metal fastening system and the front & rear covers are attach with binding tape. Rick described it as a much tougher binding, even stating you could stand on it.



The cost of the manuals will be $89 + shipping. If you call & speak with Rick, tell him you are a member of the TDR, the cost will be $79.
