I need some good brakes for my 97, 3500. I pull a 13,000lb. trailer every day. I'm tired of the local parts store junk. It doesn't bother me that they don't last as much as not having the stopping power I should have. I want some brakes that will do a good job stopping a load. Any input on where to get good pads, shoes, rotors, calipers etc. would help. Thanks

do a search for Mark Craig here he hooked me up with some powerslots slotted and cryoed rotors and hawk pads and i absolutely love how my truck stops now, no more hot brakes and very responsive, no vibes etc. he is a dealer for dieselperformanceparts.com i believe.

I don't know where you are located, but I get all my brakes from Louis Brake and Clutch in Albuquerque. They are better then the dealer or NAPA.

You may want to think about an exhaust brake if your pulling 13k on a daily basis. They re expensive but ya might end up saving money in the long run. Not to mention the improved safety factor.
