2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Where did the 12v power souce go?

Hey guys back with another quick question. . I tapped the wire Diesel Manor suggests in thier instructions and now that wire is dead. . Does anybody know what the brown/red stripe wire powers?

Prior to install I double checked the power source for keyed power and the gauge worked good until today when it stopped working. Now with a tester that wire is dead all the time. Its not cut, and I have diconnected the wire tap to test for power and nothing. .

A little update... I checked all blade fuses in both fuse boxes, and tried to pull codes with the key trick. . nothing wrong with anything obvious. I then re-hooked up the gauge using the 12v keyed accessory wire on the back of the cd player, everything works as it should as far as the gauge goes. Im a little gun shy about tapping wires that "look" important now!! Now I just need to figure out what that brown/red stripe wire powers... any help would be awesome!
