Where do I find Tractor specs

I'm just curious, I just borrowed and hauled home a friends tractor and was curious to know how much it weighed.



It's a JD 2040 (4x4 w/ a loader)



Is there a web page with tractor specs? I don't want to speculate, but it sure seemed heavy.

Average shipping wt is listed at 4800# for a 2x4 wo loader

About another 400 to 500# for 4x4 and ballast. 600# for the loader.

Maybe after the driveway is smoothed out and there are no more pot holes, she'll change her story!

Funny how that works. Our builder left us with a big mess instead of a landscaped backyard (we live in one of those restrictive coven(ant) subdivisions), so we had to foot the bill for the landscaping (a second time, since the builder'd already gotten his money). Well, to make a long story short, after getting a quote on the landscaping, I went out and bought a 4X4 3 cyl. diesel Yanmar.



My wife thought I'd lost my mind!

`cept now, she thinks I'm a hero, `cause we saved a heap and a bunch on the landscaping AND people keep wanting to buy our tractor!!
