Where do I get shorter lift blocks?

I need to lower my 2001 2" to meet my 5th wheel. Where can I order short lift blocks and u bolts? Thanks

why

don't you look into flipping the axle on the 5er?



its done all the time and is probably a lot less $$$$$$ to do

Go to the Dodge dealered near you. Look at trucks on the lot,find a set like you want,take the vin# from that truck into parts department. Tell them you want set of blocks and U-bolts for that truck.

Seems there was a thread on this some time back. If I remember correctly, Dodge has a kit for doing this conversion..... to the tune of $6??. ?? Too rich for my blood. I'm going to have to do the same thing on my truck in the future. Only thing is I can't flip the axles on the horse trailer..... makes the step-up for the horses too high. i'm planning on going to an off-road shop and see what they can do for me. Or maybe... ..... have someone with the right type saw cut the ones I have in half

Discussion:

Some customers may experience a situation in which the rear of the vehicle sits too high to attach their fifth wheel or goose neck trailer to the trailer hitch turntable. Two packages are now available through Mopar to reduce the curb height of the vehicle.



NOTE: CURB HEIGHT LOWERING PACKAGES CANNOT BE INSTALLED ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AUXILIARY SPRINGS (SALES CODE XZB OR CAMPER SPECIAL PACKAGE AHJ) UNLESS THE AUXILIARY SPRINGS AND SPACERS ARE REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE.



The curb height lowering package is designed to reduce the rear spring spacer block by 1 7/8 in. which will lower the rear of the vehicle by several inches providing clearance so that most customers can attach their fifth wheel or goose neck trailer to the trailer hitch turntable.



Packages include installation instructions and all components required to lower the curb height of the vehicle. Once the package has been installed on the vehicle, the vehicle must have the front suspension re-aligned and the headlamps re-adjusted.

On my 5'ver the axles were already under the springs from the factory. What I did to raise it about 1 7/8" was to replace the equalizers with a longer one. I called the manufacture and they said it was safe to do. Now i have a level trailer and about 6" of clearence

This is why I love the TDR so much!! Ask a question and get advice you couldnt buy!! I'll look into raising the 5th wheel.
