Does anyone have the Delphi mounted on their dash and could you please share pics for those of us still wondering where we should mount it. Pro's... Con's... . any feedback would be nice. TIA

I mounted my uncles XM Roady on the blank plate for the pass. side airbag switch his is a q-cab and it fit perfect... I will have to take a few pics and post for you.

Don't have a picture but I bent up a U-Shaped sheet metal piece that slid in the cubby-hole under the radio. Stuck it down with double sided 3-M tape. That gave me a recessed flat to stick the standard XM mount to. I painted it black and it looks pretty good and is convenient to change channels. If I ever want to remove it I can just pry up the mount and reinstall the little rubber insert floor in the cubby hole and I am back to stock. I drilled a hole in the top of the cubby recess to run the wiring. The whole radio front panel aluminum facia with surrounding plastic pops off so access behind was pretty easy. There is an outfit called Bracketron (I think) that makes some trick little panels that mount in through the breaks in your dash to mount accessories. Do a search and find them. They have some pictures on their website of a Dodge 3rd genner. Good luck

Im thinking about geting the Delphi Ski-Fi and was looking for a place to mount it and found this place Pro-Fit that made a mount that will place it just right of the factory radio. I think Im going to go with it when I get mine. looks like it wont be in the way of people sitting in the middle seat and I dont think it will be to far of a reach for my long arms. Here is a adobe instruction page with a picture of where it puts it. Hope this helps

Hawkeye,

I don't have a digital camera, but I'll describe where I put it. I have a manual transmission, so there wasn't much vacant space. I used the stock mount that comes with the car adapter kit and mounted it on the dash just to the right of the ventilation controls and immediately below the AC vent. It's angled towards me, and I can see it nicely and reach it with no problem. It comes with a remote, so I might play around with that as well, although it is not necessary. So far, I am quite pleased with it, both the satellite radio itself, and the installation. Ran the antenna wire in through the 3rd brake light also.

Enjoy, you'll never go back to conventional radio!

I fastened mine over the plate that I would think where the switch would be for the passenger side air bag. Had to remove the center dash section to get it out. I removed it and notched out on the driver side of the plate for the wires to run back to the fm modulator and antenna. I will try to take a pic of it it. That location works good, I can see well and so can the passenger.

Xm location

Try the web site xmfan.com

In the general pictures section they have a ton of installation pics. (not all look good).

Is that going to be in the way for ejecting a cd?

I hope not. Hard to tell from the pic becuse its a tape player but I think that the mounitng area of that is about the same size if not just a tad smaller then the cradel the Ski-Fi sits in. I hope to have what I need by end of Febuary and Ill let yall know then.

hawkyee, do a search on ebay. they make a dash bezell mount for your year module... this is for the xm roadey in particular. im not sure how much it cost..... but to me that would be the cleanest install.
