Any recommendations for Ironworker purchase.

1/2" Drive Air Impact Wrench Suggestions??

Sears, ok tools at an ok price. I guess if I used them to put food on my familys table I would go Snap-on.

I have Snap On tools that I bought about 33 years ago that still look as good as new and are still being sold by Snap On today. Sears is my 2nd choice when cost is an issue.

Excellent thread, Matt. Who's Brandon?

I get my "normal" hand tools (sockets, wrenches) mostly from Sears (budgetary reasons). I get specialty stuff from Amazon.com, Northern, or one of the local tool shops ($$). I've got a strange affinity for SK tools, because my grandfather (whom I never met) was a big truck mechanic and all his tools were SK.

I get most of my "throw away" or "single use" tools from Harbor Freight (sledge hammer, drill bits, saw blades).

I bookmarked most of those links you provided.

for the weekend warrior sears is in my eyes the way to go. great warrenty, easy to get. now if i had to make a living with the tools i would go with snap on or matco, it would be nice if they had a store or a mag to order tools from.

Well, I went to school with my local snapon man, and he lives 2 miles down the road. The other guy who showes up to where I work sells china **** that breaks way too easily. Guess whitch I am slowly filling my box with.

Yeah who is Brandon? I need Snap-on tool part number sp144!!! And don't wanna pay $10 for shipping from their online shop!!

Bill

do you have anyone at a shop or can you find a local snap on dealer and just have them get the wrench for you.

If not get ahold me and I can get one for you

Zach, no my bro in law and my trucking company shop both use Matco. I guess I could get ahold of a dealer and find out where he'll be at in town. I carried around a ratchet for about a year and a half til in my glovebox til I ran into Snappy, pulled over real quick and got it replaced. I bet shipping though from where you're at would be close to what Snappy wants.

Brandon Is my Snap-On dealer, TDR member since 2000, a heavy 12 valve fan and does pulling, his wife Danelle has been a TDR member since 2002 and drives an 05 CTD. They are both great people.

Tool truck every week, snap on, matco, mac.
I have not seen a MAC dealer in over 5 years, too bad cuz allot of my stuff is MAC. They will warranty brokens though and even pay the shipping, just have to be without the tool for a while.

Wow thats cool that they will stand behind it and replace it that way, I've delt with the same mac man all my life and he will drop stuff off for me when needed but here lately ive been dealing alot with the snap on man, ever since he knocked 2k off a box that I bought, and also went out of his way to take care of me on a few items he earned my respect and still takes care of me even tho im not in his area anymore.

Also anyone that needs to buy a tool or anything off a truck,,,, most tool guy's like to hear and see cash it's amazing how much you can get stuff for cash :-laf :-laf just keep that in mind the next time your dealing with one.
