I'm trying to install some CB antennas behind my cab somewhere on the bed. So where and how is everyone doing this? Any ideas or help would eb great.

Here's another option for you. This is not my truck. I have a single antenna mounted a little further back on the drivers side. You cannot see my antenna from the drivers seat.

Mine is mounted at the front of the bed using a "L" bracket from radio shack that is attached to a diamond plate aluminum bracket that goes from the inside bed rail lip down to the lower sidewall. Pulling a 5er, I needed the antenna at the front.

I mounted mine in the front driver's side stake pocket. The actual mast bracket protrudes from between the bedrail and my ARE tonneau. I fab'd the mount myself and am waiting for pocket mounts that are back ordered.

Anyone have a pic of how those between fender/hood mounts work?

Is this what you are looking for?

If so just do a search engine on dodge ram cb mounts and you should find it.

These are stainless, mount right in your stake pocket, and are 13 bucks each. I have these and love them. Look great and I have never had them come loose or have any problems with them.

Go here:

http://www.firestik.com/CatalogFrame.htm

On the top of the page, click on Mounts and Accessories.

On the left side, under STAINLESS MOUNTS, click on either the Stake-Hole Mnt or Stake-Hole, Ext.

FireStik Stake-Hole Mounts

These are FireStik's offset stake-hole mounts--work with or without my topper installed. Their Fire-Ring coax connectors keeps the underside relatively streamlined.

im running a 102" steel whip mounted off my rear bumper... . IMHO other then a mag-mount going with a steel whip is the best way to get a very good ground.
