I have had my Amsoil bypass filter now for about a month and I cannot figure out where in the world to mount the dang thing. I really don't want to mess with mounting it on the frame because I am in fields so often and I just don't like things hanging down low. Ideally it would be mounted in the engine compartment. For petes sake does a guy have to mount it in the bed??? Come on DC give us a little room in the engine compartment!!!!!!

I did search but came up with nothing---I could be, and probably am, an idiot at using the search function.

I think that location will work but I think my filter(BE-110) that came with my kit is a lot longer. I went out and tested that location and with the current filter it will interfere with the oil dipstick. Thanks for the quick reply and I can't believe I overlooked that location---I think I was looking too hard.

Here is a place you can mount a "Single" Remote. It is mounted on passenger side firewall, to the rear of the battery. Return line is plumbed to the oil "Fill" cap. Pressure to feed filter comes from the top of the OEM filter mount, using the existing 1/8 NPT port.

There are many that mount it off of the right side battery hold down bolt. They make a special bracket that will slide over the bolt and has a plate to attach the filter mount. I am currently adding a dual by-pass filter mount (#BK-209) from Amsoil myself, the battery mount is not a option for me. It is way to crowded and would seem to make filter changes much harder, not easier like it should be. I found a spot behind my front bumper, it is protected and also very easy to access. It requires a little mild fabrication to make a bracket to hold the filter mount, but nothing hard or complicated. I was going to post on the process and offer pictures after I was completed, but that might be a while yet. Am soil's tech line was of very little assistance when I called about the goofy JIC fittings they used on the filter mount, I am still waiting for their arrival. I simply bought the filter mount, SDF-15 and BE-100 filters and the fitting from Amsoil, the Cummins filter adapter I bought from John S. . For lines I am using Russell AN#10 pro Flex with their fittings.

CChase, yes it is. I made it out of some 1/4" flat stock. Not much to it. I had a couple of them laying around that I ended up using to mount lights on a POS FJ40 I was working on for someone.
