Ok guys, this is getting on my nerves.

I went to go fuel up, and I checked my fluids just for the heck of it (I ussualy don't... I know, I know... ) and noticed my oil level was a ways BELOW the safe line. My oil pressure was still good.

I have no visible oil leaks besides spotting, but I'm loosing 1 quart every 1250 miles.

WTF is going on here?

Also, is this something to worry about? Or am I ok as long as pressure was still good?

God, i hope it aint my next BOMB (turbo seal); he's offered me his turbo for a song when he gets around to buying an H2E Oo. .

Bad vavle seals, blowby, and a cam plug can cause oil loss. BTW- the cam plug may not show up immediately, either. BUT, I will say that you should let it sit a minimum of 20min before you can depend on an accurate oil level reading. I have upon occasion, gained a qt by letting it settle down. How far below the safe line were you? I doubt it would be a problem with your lower mileas, but it could be worn rigns, too. Be down my list of possibles, though. And you can sitll have oil pressure with 6qts of oil in the engine, too. I had a turbo drain line blow one time (bolt backed out), and had a CLOUD of blue smoke- it was burning the oil on the downpipe. I lost 6qts in 12mi. Talk about oil consumption.

Best time I feel to check oil is first thing in the morning or whenever the truck hasnt run for awhile and is good and cold, on level surface. I wouldnt get too excited about it til you check this when cold not after warmed up and fueling.

Hmmm... maybe I was a touch hasty. BUT, I have lost more oil than most over normal oil changes, mostly a few quarts.

I would LOVE to pull this engine and go through everything (mostly just to calm my nerves).
