Archived Where is PCM located?

I am putting in my BD X-Monitor in my 2003 Dodge Cummins and need to splice into the violet wire on the PCM. I believe the ECM is on the engine looking through the driver side wheel well. Is the PCM mounted on the firewall and is it the silver box on the left rear firewall, or the black box on the right rear fire wall? Anyone out there that can help? Thanks.

The 99 manual says "Right side of engine compartment", that would be the passenger side?, it has 3-32 way connectors. bg

The PCM is on the firewall,passenger side with 3 connecters.

Remove the air cleaner box. There it is on the fire wall.

It is an 03 no air box there it is up front

Thanks. I got the BD X-Monitor all installed. The PCM box was on the passenger side firewall as Bob4x4 said. It is a silver box with 3 connectors in it. The transmission sensor wire was located in the center (white) connector in the #1 pin spot. It was a violet colored wire. Unit is all installed and works great!
