Where is the 2004 factory harness located?

I can't seem to find where to plug the controller into. The truck has the tow package and factory connecter. Does anyone have a picture of the controller plugged in? I've searched the forum and didn't find one.

On my 2005, just to the left of the steering column is a white electrical box that had the brake control harness taped to it. Remove the two screws that hold in the panel just below the steering wheel, it will help you see under there.

Thanks for the reply. I had already taken off the panel yet I don't see any connector that isn't plugged into something.

I recall mine being near or above the emergency brake mechanism. It should be approx 3/4" by 1. 5" give or take and blue in color.

Mine was taped onto the harness (in the location given by others) and had a plastic cover plugged into it. It stands out since it is the only blue connector in the area.

Mine was just like this except it was taped ON TOP of the large wiring harness under there. I finally found it after multiple people were looking for about an hour. Once I found it I couldn't believe where they had put it.



Anyway, yes yours should be in the same general are and blue in color. It might be up there kind of high too.
