Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) where is the coolant temp sensor?

I know, dumb question but I cannot find it. My dash gauge reads nothing. Manual says it's on the driver-rear but all I find is the intake temp sensor.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is on the driver side rear of the head under the sloped intake... I just pulled my head it is hard to see... .

You'll need a 27MM wrench or deep socket to get it out

Thanks everyone. I couldn't find it because it was not there! The head was replaced and I found the electrical connector but there is just a plug in head port where the sensor should be. I thought I was loosing my mind until I looked at my 96 while trying to help a friend out.
