Where is the neutral safety switch located??

I took my truck in to the dealership today because I was suspecting a transmission leak. Sure enough, the technician told me the transmission was leaking because of my neutral safety switch. He said they would order a new one and install it next week. Where is this part located? Will they have to drop my transmission pan and drain any fluid to install the new switch? The reason I ask is that I had planned on servicing my transmission this weekend to put Amsoil ATF in there, and if they have to drop my pan and drain fluids to install the part then I will wait until later to service the transmission. I have the auto transmission.

The switch is on the drivers side above the pan.
