I'm changing valve springs tonight and resetting valve lash. I'll need to use the timing pin to find TDC, but I don't know exactly where it's located. I've tried searching, but I think something is screwed up with the new system. It seems like none of my searches bring up anything newer than 2001.

TIA

As CumminsPower98 said it is below the injection pump, also I found it alot easier to pull the pin out and use a mirror and look for the timing pin hole than try to get it to engage.

Thanks for the tips guys, I think I see it. Once I get that pin in, I can continue with the valve lash procedure right? I've heard sometimes the timing pin is not at true TDC, will that hurt anything?

AJ

No. Infact you don't need the true TDC to perform a valve adjustment.

I hope this shows up... . I told you where the pin is located at some time ago and it never made it to the forum.

Thanks Greenleaf, it showed up!! I guess I'll just need the TDC pin for replacing the valve springs. I've got instructions for valve lash from dodgeram.org.
