2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission where is the VIN# located on a RAM CTD

Does somebody know where is the VIN# of 97 RAM stamped on,is it only behind the windshield?Is it the only place,or is it somewhere else as well,on a frame or ?

VIN# is usually located on a sticker in the driver's side door, or door frame.

Look into the windshield from the outside at the dash in front of the driver.

The feds passed an anti-theft law some years ago. The easisest place to read the VIN is on the dash and drivers door. It is also on the rear end, trans, pass door, frame and hidden numerous other places.

When this law about the anti theft security started?Who knows which are these all numerous hidden places,and what if the rear end or trans or other stuff is been changed out?
