Where to buy Fuel in Reno?

Will be in Reno next week, I was wondering where the best place to buy fuel.



I will be heading from Sacramento on hwy 80 till I get of in Reno at Keystone Ave (exit 12)

You can drive on I-80 past the Nugget in Sparks and get off at the McCarren Exit. Turn left & go under freeway. On the right is a truck stop and casino.

If you miss that exit... another truck stop is off to the right a couple of exits up the road... Vista Exit.

If you're getting off at Keystone and don't have a reason to go to Sparks (another 4 or 5 miles), get off at McCarran, which is just before Keystone. There is a Safeway up on the left that has diesel at every pump and the price is about the same same (sometimes more, sometimes less) than the truck stop. It's clean and seems to move a lot of fuel. Easy on, easy off. Coming to get your Caravan? :-laf If you have a 70 gallon extra tank, you won't need to get fuel in Reno. I can make the round trip to Sac on half a tank.

AMink, Yes Dale should be calling me the 2nd or so as he thought it would be done last Fri or 2nd I told him I would come as soon as he called depending on weather. I just want to fill up tanks IF fuel is cheaper than around my neck of the woods. As my Transferflow only has 5 gallons in it right now. I am going to install a through shell fill pipe once I get shell home. I will kinda hate drilling a 4" hole in my spank'n NEW Caravan.

I think it is $2. 45 or $2. 47 at that Safeway. If you have a Safeway card, they knock . 03 off, if you spent more than $50 last time in the grocery store, it's . 06 off. Washoe County has some HIGH combined taxes on the stuff!

Griz, The Problem with that is some stations charge 50 cents or more per gallon than others. When I go to to places that I am not real familiar with, I like to ask for directions or help from others that know the area.

Charlie and AMink, I ended up going to the ... Vista Exit. Safeway as I was early Fuel was 2. 519 plus with my wifes Safeway card I got an additonal

3 cents / gal off which came to 2. 489 I got 85 gallons I saved $24. 65 as its 2. 779 around home. AND it seems I get 2 mpg more with Nevada fuel vs Calif fuel?? I left at 7 am and got back home a 7:30pm I will post a pic of my new Caravan shell as soon as I wash the Hwy 80 dirty melted snow from my truck, it was clean before I left not now.

Same fuel as CA. You're starting closer to the top of the mountain when you go from Reno to Sac. 3000' up, then 7000' down, as opposed to the other way around! Reno is at about 4500'. Hope your shell is what you expected.
