Now that I've sold my 24' enclosed car trailer (too big), I'm going to be ordering a smaller one soon. This time, by gosh, I want some sharp looking aluminum wheels to go on it.

From the factory, they're a $750 option, which is way pricey for four wheels. They're basic 15x6 wheels with 3. 5" backspacing and a 6x5. 5 bolt pattern.

The only ones I found that will fit are from American Racing for $82 each, BUT, the wheels don't carry a high enough load rating... only 2000 lbs each. This is not good when your axles are rated at 5200 lbs each.

So I'm wondering if anybody knows anywhere else I can look for some wheels? These are the "Outlaw II" style, which are the classic round-hole ones used on most trailers.

My other option is to go with the dual 6000# axles, which I kinda want to do anyway. Then you get 16" wheels and the AR wheels in that size ($92 each) are fine because they're good for 3100# each.

Thanks!

I don't know who you are buying your trailer from, but 750 is ignorant. The normal price I find is more like 90-100 each. Anyway you could go to southwest wheel, they have a nice selection. www.southwestwheel.com

Also a wheel that looks good on trailers and not everyone has them (like your standard alm outlaw II), is the mickey thompson classic II, or the cheaper version of it, eagle series 58. The trailers are all pretty standard, 5 on 5 1/2, 6 on 5 1/2, or the bigger trailer 8 on 6 1/2 bolt circles. I also had a set of American racing AR 136 on one and it looked nice. Be alittle different so you will stand out and not look so generic.
