Competition Jennings County, Indiana truck pull...VIDEO...

I pull and drag race the truck everychance I get but I have a problem getting my hx 50 to spool and get a good launch. That seems to be where the Duramax's are getting me is right out of the hole. Ive talked to a couple of the guys down at the drag strip and they have told me to look into a transbrake but Im having a hard time finding anything on where to get one. Just wondering if anyone has one or has tried one and where to get one? Any help would be great.

The reason they don't have a trans brake for our transmission is this. Most trans brakes lock up the transmission by applying 1st and reverse. If you do that in our transmission a couple things would happen. A large bang as you snapped inturnal transmission parts. Or the reverse clutch pack would let go. It's not designed for "heavy" usage like that. Trust me... I smoked it pulling a buddy out of a swamp.

I see you have Suncoast... give them a call. Make sure that you'll "keep" your warranty if you run one.

I'd think about running a line lock of some sort for the brakes.
