pepboys, advanced auto and Napa in my area (CT) do not have it. Any ideas on equivalent? Mail order?

Dealer wants $500 for the trannie and t-case flush or $200 just for case of fluid.

You can get synthetics for that price or less and go 2 to 3 times longer between changes. Email or PM if you want prices.

Yikes! Both procedures are pretty easy - especially the transfer case. So if you can, do it yourself and save A LOT of money. I put ATF+3 in my transfer case. Considering how infrequently it gets used, I figured it was a safe place to save a chunk of money. The +4 in the transmission is hard to take when you're forking over the dough to the dealer, though. I'm hoping there will be an alternate source for +4 before I do it again next spring. I haven't found one yet.

I tried www.mopar4less.com but with the shipping to central florida the price was the same. I got gallons 3 different times from the local dealer and got 3 different prices.

The sales guy manning the parts counter on sat was the best. He sold it at shop prices instead of retail prices. Just an idea.

I am going to try the sat thing again and if I can find the sales guy doing parts counter on sat get next years supply.

Buy it by the gallon....

I paid ~$27 per gallon for Mopar ATF+4 at the dealer. That makes it competitive with anything else out there.....

Could be wrong but thought that +4 was a DC only scam and that +3 available elsewhere was just as good.

I wouldn't know good old, cheap, reliable, carried everywhere Dexron works great for me and has been recommended by several professional transmission builders here.

Dexron and a little lubeguard, call the transmission guru of your choosing and quit getting hosed by the dealers over transmission fluid... .....
