Gentlemen, I’m looking to install some lights along my step bars. It has entry lights, marker lights, and turn signals. Would anyone know where I might be able to pick all of these up without causing CAN or any other issues? I know I can pick up both turn signals and running lights from the trailer harness, but there’s no courtesy entry light in that harness. Any ideas?

I’d also like to install some auxiliary reverse lights soon. Perhaps install a relay off the trailer harness? I don’t recall if there’s a reverse light in the trailer harness. The actual reverse lights are conventional incandescent and I’d like to replace those with LEDs as well.

Thanks!

On 2019 Green Connector block under the dash to the left of steering column, I used the center block, there are three connector blocks. I install 2pin plug in this block for powering the lights for step lights. On the left end of the dash there is a panel you can remove use a flat plastic tool to pop the push pins loose, then you can see these connector blocks. It's a tight space to work, need somebody with small hands.;)

There is the snowplow wiring harness under the fuse box. I believe it has stubs for marker and turn signals, but I doubt it has them for entry lights.

The center pin on the 7 pin trailer harness is for reverse lights.

The body builder portion of Rams website has wiring diagrams that I reference whenever I’m doing wiring mods.

How about adding an auxiliary fuse block that Genos Garage sells, either a 3 or 7 circuit system? I have and do use this system for my auxiliary electrical needs safe and works great, does not effect the CAN BUS wiring. My 3 fuse block has one constant hot and two are key ignition hot connections, they are weather tight. I have mine mounted on the driver side firewall behind the battery.
See Geno's catalog for current pricing and information on them. I have included the link to the items from Genos. https://www.genosgarage.com/category/Electrical-accessories
