Where to find used catalytic conveter

My friend just bought a 12v that does not have a cat. and in nevada he needs to have one to pass smog. I would like to find a used one we can hog out before we install it. Do they make 5" cat's he was thinking of maybe doing a 5" exhaust. Thanks for any help
