Anybody who lives or has lived in an apartment have any ideas on where I could find a place to work on my truck? The rear main seal leak its had for years seems to have turned a corner and I'm down to 500 - 1000 miles per quart. I'll probably change the clutch too while I'm at it, that's IF I can find a place to do the work.

I just moved to New York and I don't know that many people here yet, let alone someone with a garage I can borrow. I've thought about renting a storage unit for a month and doing it there, but would they let me? Anybody have any ideas?

I'm 60 miles north of the city if you can hold off until July you can do it at my place and I might even be able to lend a hand. You can walk to the metro north station from my house if you want to commute back and forth

Thats a hell of a generous offer, thanks! I might take you up on that. July is even a little sooner than I planned on fixing it, I don't drive the truck much right now so I'm not in any hurry.

Let me know. All it is is a gravel spot in the driveway. I can supply electric, transmission jack and air and a few sheets of plywood to lie on. depending when you want to do it I may be able to help you lift the transmission in and out other than that your own your own.....

Gravel spot is fine, it beats the heck out of trying to do it in a Wal Mart parking lot and getting chased away by security. transmission jack is even better, I've been trying to figure out where I would rent one. Thanks again!!

Hahah, thanks man! I was thinking I ought to send you a PM or something soon and see if the offer was still valid. I won't be ready for another month or two though. I hope Aug or Sept sometime will still be ok. Thanks again!
