I dropped my truck off to have the tires rotated and balanced, as well as an alignment. Turns out they could not do the alignment because I have a loose track bar, which I always suspected because of the amount of play in my steering. They want $350 for a new one, + labor, which I imagine sounds about right. I surely dont want the same piece of junk stuck back in just to have it wear out again in a short period of time. Where is the best place to get one that will hold up? Thanks,

Rick

Would there be necessary to get both the Thuren track bar and Luke's link?

I have a 2" leveling kit and 19. 5's.

Thanks,

thanks for the responses, I checked out the Lukes Link, think that will be the most sensible route to go first instead of shelling out more money than I have to.

Get the MOOG unit from Amazon.com or Rockauto.com If you will message me with an email address, I'll send you comparison photos between the stock and the Moog.

Thanks for the reply, however, I just picked my truck up from the other day since I was away for a few weeks and had a garage install the Luke's Link on it, as well as the Maax links that are in Genos. Truck handles well now, very pleased.

I blew a MOOG track bar in a little over a year. Rather than spend more money & time, I put on a DSS 3rd Gen bracket kit & bar.

How about the rubber bushing on the axle end of the Track Bar?

I seem to have play there.

Are good replacement bushings available somewhere?

I could do a Lukes Link for the top, but the bottom seems sloppy on my 96' 2500 with a 95' style front axle? Anyone upgraded this end? I know there's one with a stainless steel ball in Geno's catalog? -

I've got a new bushing for the axle end of the track bar if you want it. It is a two piece.

if your truck has the moog bar already the lukes link will not work, the head on the bar is too big. get on the site and they tell the size of the bar head so you can figure out what you have. they have a fix for the moog bar but it is an exchange basis and a little more costly than the kit but i like the setup better IMO. still awhole lot cheaper than the 300 plus of the other bars.
