Quick question guys,

I have a guy that I work with that needs to change the differential fluids in his 2001. He does not want to pay $130 for each differential at the dealer, but he is paranoid about removing the diff cover to change the fluid (I know, I have already given him hell for it). He is trying to locate a suction pump to remove the diff fluid. Any thoughts? Where can he find one that will work?

Cheapest way is probably a turkey baister. I had to use one before to change out my power steering fluid before, maybe something like that will work for you.

I agree

It will take longer to suck the fluid out ounces at a time than it would to pull the cover and get all the crap out of the case. You don't even neet a gasket, just a tube of RTV.

I picked mine up at NAPA I dont have the PN but it was 20 bucks. It takes about 1 1/2 to 2 pints out per round so it is a PIA. but if the dude doesn't want to pop the cover (Remind him that if there are any big pieces he wont ever know until its too late) than that is the way I would tell him to go.

Take care

Mark
