Hoses And Belt?

In the market 1st time owner

Need some help. Other than my local Dodge dealer, where can I go in my area to get needed gauges and other engine diagnotics installed around the Palm Beach County, Florida area. Don't see any ads in TDR magazine to help. I'm not that mechanically inclined and I don't want to start a gauge install and screw it up.

First, let me say Welcome to TDR site

Secondly, I inquired with my dealer about installing aftermarket stuff and they said that they couldnt do it. Never gave a specific reason.

I would suggest looking in the yellow pages and see if there is someone that could do the installs.

Another member in the area might be able to steer you in the direction.

Im in So Cal and have one place that I have used.

Thanks for Suggestions

Gentlemen:

Thanks for the suggestions.

To Bob V: I live in Southeast Florida, near West Palm Beach.

To REFLOYD: Buddy, I would if I could take you up on the help. But you're a little to far from me.

To Donnier: That's what I figured I get from the dealer here. Had it happen before.

My last resort is to get the Chilton manuals and try it on my own... and you can't believe how scary a thought that is!

Contact the company that makes the items you want installed and ask them who their area installers are. While not all have local shops, many do.

That helps to insure the items are correctly installed.

WHats a "BD cooldown"?

BD makes a "cooldown" unit that serves as a timer/temp sensor to allow a period of idle after the switch is turned off for the turbo and engine to cool off before shutting down. You can lock the truck and walk away and it will shut off when the set temp is reached. Real neat feature when towing up a grade and stopping at rest stop, especially after several cups of coffee or sodas.

BD-Power.com. Go to their website and read about it.

I ordered mine direct from them and installed it myself.

Part number "1081150 Cool Down Timer 135. 00" plus shipping.
