I’m looking for a place online where I can order heavy duty (fisheye style) wire lugs that are solid copper.

(Note - I'm not looking for the plastic color coded wire lugs/connectors that you can find in any auto parts store or hardware store)

I'm looking for the type of lug that is on the end of the ground wire for the drivers side battery cable. It has a nice big surface area about the size of a quarter and it has teeth around it so it bites into the frame when you tighten it... I need several of these to beef up all my ground connections. I live on the beach and everything corrodes really quickly/easily and I don't want to use those chincy little color coded lugs. If anyone can provide a link of a place who has a nice selection of these lugs/connectors I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I've tried all the local electrical supply houses and Graybar, Walters Electric, Curleys Electric, etc. I've tried Pep Boys, I've Kragen, etc... . and yes they all have the same chincy lugs. They do have other types of lugs as well but not the kind I'm looking for.

If anyone knows who sells the exact same type of lug (Heavy duty w/ teeth) that's on the end of the batt ground cable please let me know.

I'll check Napa...

Just looked throught about 100 pages of Grainger lugs and they don't have them either... I wouldn't have thought these things would be so hard to find. I've looked everywhere and had no luck so that's why I decided to post on the TDR. .

Hopefully someone knows where I can buy them and they'll chime in. Otherwise I'm stuck with all the chincy stuff...

Try farm and fleet or big R, i saw them somewhere and was thinking of doing the same thing. When i remember i will pm ya.

Welding shop

Pay a visit to your local welding supply shop. They carry various sizes for welding cables. 100% sure they can help. They may need to crimp it for you, or I've used a DULL chisel to "crimp" the center down, then soldered it.
