T shaped pressure fitting? Not familiar with that. I used a screw in sending unit that came with the guage. Screwed it into an existing plugged hole in the right rear bottom of the auto transmission. Works great. Might not have been the best spot but all I wanted was a baseline to follow. If the transmission started getting hot the guage would show it just as any other location would.
My 'DTT' transmission rebuilder installed a 'T' fitting with a place for my sending unit in the 'HOT' transmission line. He said it's the most accurate place for a reading.
I have heard of this t-fitting gadget... . do not recommend it. For a solid one time, no hassle install go with the '95 cooler line. Took 30 mins to install with very little fluid loss or mess. SWEET!
