Where to install temp sender in G56?

I want to add a temp gauge to my rear diff and the G56. I'm not sure how to to go about installing the sending unit in the transmission. I looked all over it and didn't see a pre-taped hole (like on an auto). Has anyone done this before? I guess I need to drill and tap, but where? Thanks

I just added a temp sender to my G56. I think most people will recommend pulling off one of the PTO covers (I used the driver's side), and welding a 1/8" pipe bung. Some people just tap the cover instead of welding on a bung, but the cover isn't all that thick... kind of marginal to go that route I'd think.

Well, the other solution would be to buy some fastcoolers, as they already have a port for the sender. --Eric
