I'm curious as to where I should install my boost supply for my gauge. Are you guys drilling the intake manifold or using the 3/4" plug behind the fuel filter. I've heard you can get fluctuating readings from this source. Any other ideas? Thanks John for the email. Good advice.

I put mine in the 3/4 plug. I am pleased with the results on my guage. Easy to hook up. Test the results for yourself before drilling.

I put mine in the intake manifold. Only takes
5 min. to remove,5 min. to drill & tap,5 min.
to re-install. No warranty issues at all with
my dealer. Hope this helps. Rick

I also did the intake manifold. It seemed like a cleaner install as the tubing follows the dipstick up to the exact location.

Thanks for the input guys. Were those of you who tapped into the intake able to re-use your gaskets or did you pick up some new ones. I don't know of a Cummins rep in this area or I wouldn't even hesitate putting in new gaskets.

Well Mag, I'm sure that the correct answer is to always replace the gaskets. However, when I removed the manifold, the gasket was so clean that I just couldn't resist. I think that the fact that our trucks are so new and that the intake manifold does not experience a great deal of heat that you are pretty safe to reuse.
