What was your first Muscle Car experience ?

Interesting 4th of July weekend

We may be in Fort Worth this Saturday (7-10-04) for a Chris LeDoux concert at Billy Bobs and to check out a little 2500 CTD for wife. Just wondering if anyone had any tips on where to stay and on concerts at Billy Bobs.

We spent a night at the Stockyards Hotel back in 95 (it had saddles for seats in the bar) at the Stockyard. Very nice 1870s hotel, but pricy. We'd love there but to expensive and no reservations anyway.

$75** or so would be great.

Thanks RJR

Because the concert is at night you are limited in choice. The busses run till around midnight, but I think some routes close earlier. If you have your own transportation, a Dodge truck with a Cummins engine in it perhaps, you can stay at any of the hotels downtown (probably just as pricey), or any of the hotels along I-35 or I-30. There's a Ramada or something similar located at I-30 and University Drive. From there you can take University Drive north until it becomes North Side Drive. Keep going a bit further and hang a left (north) on North Main and you're at the Stockyards a couple of miles later. If you stay downtown get on Main Street, head north around the courthouses and continue on North Main until you get to the Stockyards. If you stay at a hotel on I-35 run it north until you get to NE 28th street (exit 54). Take it west to North Main and you'll see Billy Bobs on your left while you're waiting for the light to change.
