I have a 1996 Travel Ez 5th wheel trailer that needs some work done to it. (It had a rear tire blow out, lots of damage)

I live in Vancouver Washington, near Portland Oregon and was wondering if any NW TDR members could suggest a good RV place to take it for replairs.

Curtis trailers in Portland can't seem to get there act together enough to even get us a quote. They had the trailer for days, took pictures, then lost all paper work and needs to start over.

Please help if you can.

TIA

Hey, this is a question, not a poll.

Hey Bob;

Just a thought, Goodyear tires blew out on my Wilderness and did over $2000 damage. I found out Goodyear had a silent recall. Goodyear paid damages plus five new tires. Check it out. Good luck.

Bob... if you are interested in taking it to eastern Oregon, my fatherinlaw takes his to a place there called Rustines or something like that. I would be happy to get the name for ya, or maybe one of the guys from wallawalla, hermiston or that area would know the real name and phone number.

RV Repair shop

1st I would check with Goodyear if that was the brand of tire you used. Like mentioned - there was a silent recall and many tires replaced for free and a couple of folks on the irv2.com site got repair bills paid as well.

2nd - Not a reccommendation but a place called Top-o-Hill RV (Aurora Oregon)advertises that they do good Collision and other repairs.

3rd - If your handy with a few wood and metal tools the repairs are not usually that bad. I have fixed 1 slide-in with the cabover rotted out and 1 bumper pull with water damage in the whole front. You can order new color matched exterior metal from a place in Milwaukee.

Kit Mfg (warranty & repair service mgr) recommended Spencers (82nd) in Portland as the place to take the Patio Hauler 351F that we just bought used for warranty repair work. Haven't talked to Spencers yet so take this info FWIW.
