Learned something the hard way

Where it was built

A week or more ago, there was a link to a PDF file that explained the vin makeup. I saved a copy, and if you check the 11th digit of your vin, it should correspond to one of the following...

A = Auburn Hills R = Windsor Assembly Assembly Plant

G = Saltillo Assembly F = Newark Assembly

B = St. Louis Assembly South K = Pillete

J = St. Louis Assembly North S = Warren Truck Assembly

M = Largo Alberto Assembly

Perhaps if you search, you can find the link to the whole file... if not, PM me with an e-mail address and I'll send the PDF file. . Gerry

My vin has the "S"

According to the Dodge ram link that would be "Dodge City". Kansas (I assume).

GerryDrake Do you have a link to that .pdf and did it specify for what year trucks?

vin breakdown

Here is the best I could do on copying it into the thread. It would appear to cover 1999 and newer, per digit #10... I searched the forums and found the link to the PDF... http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/20...s/intro/vin.pdf
