Where'd my green dash lights go?

The AC cluster button lights have turned to a normal white color, while the AC dial switch next to them is still green like the rest of my instrument panel.



Do these button lights have lenses or are they colored by a green lens?



Im thinking some washboard road driving Ive done recently has dislodged something behind those AC switches, but obviously not the light source.



Can I fix this myself?

Hmmmm... guess Ive come upon a problem that no one else has experienced.
Time to pull the dash panels around the radio and AC to see what's behind there. Hope I can put it all back together *L*

Sorry but thats one I've never heard before!

It's easy to take the dash bezel arround the radio and HVAC conrols apart. Just one screw behind the garbage bag holder thingy and then drop the knee bolster and pull it out.

Let us know what you find.

IIRC, the A/C control head is a sealed unit.

I just had my dash apart to install a new radio. I left the heater controls connected and just tipped the center dash cover out of my way.



When I turned on the lights, I noticed the back of the heater control, around the bulbs, glowed white. I suspect your guess about there being a green lens in there is correct.



I don't know how far it can be disassembled, but there are screws holding the module together.
