Wondering where anyone has mounted their CB antenae? We have the magnet mounts at work but they'll never find their way to my truck. I dont like the scratches and the beautiful rust rings that come with them. Thanks for the input,

Mike

Mounted mine on the passenger side mirror arm. Worked good on the 93 but I don't know about the latter models. Haven't paid much attention to the mirror details on those.

Firestick, left fender, closest bolt to the cowl.

The nicest thing about the Firestick mount is tha fact that it is formed to fit under the edge of the hood and follow the body so well. My antenna cable bolts right into the bottom of the antenna, I think it was called a Fire-Ring mount.

Here is my setup. the antenne is from a truck stop

the mount is from firestick as mentioned above.

I have the Firestik mount that mounts on the bed of the truck in the stake pocket. no-drill very stable and can still be used in the same location with a camper on! I use a black 5'antenna. Use M Brolin mount with a Ranger 2970 CB. :D

On my 97 I have the big pulling mirrors, so I mounted dual fiberglass wips. one on each mirror, looks really cool too.

I also use the Firestick mount pictured and like it. SWR can be a little hard to set unless you use a 4' antenna.

Eric what camera did you use for the pic, they are very sharp and clear, nice pics.

Made a bumper mount for the rear.

While I think the firestick mount is niffty, I worried about the clearance of the mount and the coax making it out from betweent the hood and fender.

Iv looked under firstik.com and i like the under the hood mount. but is there a way to order on line. i called all three truck shops they post in PA. and they dont do over the phone orders.

Ed,

Try using the search engine google.

using the following search string and see what you get:

+cb +price +firestick +mount +dodge

If you don't get many results, start my removing +dodge , than +mount or add some you can think of. The + right infront of the word (no space) tells google that that word must appear along with the others on the page.

i know in the past when I was looking I could find some places online selling them. I never bookmarked them, so don't know...

Anyone know where to purchase the fire ring coax from Firestik. The local CB shop did not carry it. i currently had to separate the coax shielding and ground it to the mount. This works but I like the neater look of EricBU12 Mount.

stg2500,

www.bills2way.com Located in CA, very nice to work with, seems like a good price to me. Has stuff not listed on the site. I got a fire-ring coax last month with some hood mounts.

Shipping was quick but I am only a couple hours away :)

Check this site out (valcoelectronics) just add the usual stuff. Got the 4 foot fire fly and when they went to ship it was twice as much as the web said so they called me before they shipped it, nice guys. They have the MK 184R kit and a lot of other stuff. The prices are great.
