Idea for installing trans temp sender

Okay guys,

Here is my big question of the month. Never drove a CTD with a performance module on it and I am in the market to get one.

However, my first and only consideration is the one that will give me the best MPG increase over stock sans module.

Which one are you running and what MPG gains have you seen with it?

Am I wrong in concluding that the modules that control timing do best?

Maybe!

Advanced timing alone will NOT increase mileage. Timing must be matched to overall fueling-- how much, and how fast fuel is delivered.

So if you add 100hp injectors as opposed to a 100hp box, the ideal timing for one is different than the other. Make sense? The box will probably need a little more timing than the injectors, because they add a second injection pulse after the main pulse-- kind of a piggyback effect.

I'd say the best mpg combo all around would be mach 1. 5 injectors and a simple boost fooler-- no timing or fueling box of any kind. That's my thinking. I have no proof or evidence.

I've got a regular 80-mile commute every day which involves a fast winding mountain road with 2000ft climb/descend (each way) and then quite a bit of city traffic which follows. I have kept a spread sheet on every tank of fuel and I have noticed a consistant 0. 5-0. 75 miles/gallon increase after the addition of RV275's and a DD TTPM (level 2). These are unloaded results as I really don't have enough data to confirm loaded conditions (besides, when I'm carrying the camper I don't have similar driving routes).

My guess is that the mild injector (i. e. Bosch RV275) will give you the maximum mileage gain while nicely adding a bit of power across the entire power band. The boxes are not even across the band and often come on strong at first.

John, I have a used van aaken box that you an d Pj can use for a couple of weeks to play around with.

Only one plug to hook up too ;)

It will be fun to feel a little added power and torque

no charge of course
