I know autometer makes a tach w/ the alternator pickup, does anyone make a tach to hook to factory wiring? Mine is a 93, it should have the wiring, right? -Nick

Niki,

I recently got an Isspro (8550? I think) from PDR. Ask them, they'll know which one. It came with instructions for hooking to the under dash wiring harness. It also came with a very large resistor on the back, which must be removed.

I got a single pod steering column mount from Geno's Garage. It's listed for the 94-97 trucks, but is an exact fit for ours.

If you go with the Isspro, I'll look at my harness and help you out if you need it.

Good Luck!

I have the Isspro R8503 in my '92. I bought it from www.dieselpage.com. It came with the wiring harness and instructions on which spades in the factory harness to connect it to. Pretty easy installation. I have some pics of it in my reader's rigs photos after installation in my fab'd pod if you want to see what it looks like.

ANother vote for isspro

I put an EV series Isspro in a year ago, and everything has worked great once I got it wired up correctly. Here is a link to a thread I had about it.

That's a very nice truck you have... I was wondering if you lifted or put a leveling kit on it to fit those 285's? I'm going to order the isspro tach, but since my truck was a work truck and has no air, I put all the guages in the a/c vent fillers.

Thank you very much! Actually, the suspension was completely stock at the time those pics were taken. Since then I added Skyjacker D100C's to take out some of the front end sag - worth every penny just for the improved ride. It came stock with the 6" rear lift blocks. Even with the sagging front springs, the 285's fit, although I noticed some of the rubber fender well trim was trimmed away by the previous owner. With the new springs there's no problem at all.
