I need some advice on choosing the correct front Bilstein shock for my '99 2WD Cummins. GVW is 8800# with out lift kit, and the choice is bewteen the BE5-2549 and the B46-1907. ORW goes by GVW, while other web sites use the solid axle vs. non-solid axle as the criteria for choosing the right shock.

Any other members have the same problem?

shock's

Jeff I see by your signature that you have a 2wd. The BE5-2549's are for a 4wd, and the B46-1907's are for a 2WD. As per the Geno's catalog. I have a 2wd and switched to the 1907's, and like them a lot  "Ironbutt"

And they cost $4. less. a piece :-laf
